This Weekend: Drive-In Movie Night and Community Garden Day

Everyone is invited to a movie night on May 21st and a community garden planning session on May 22nd at the Western Boulevard Presbyterian Church in the Avent West neighborhood. See the details below from the Western Boulevard Presbyterian Church for more information.

Saturday, May 21

  • Toy Story 3 @ 7pm
  • The Blind Side @ 9:15pm

Join us for a fun-for-all-ages Drive In Movie Night. Bring a lawn chair or sit in your car and enjoy our double feature. Concessions will be served and there will be games and activities for the kids. All proceeds will benefit this June’s Haiti mission trip.

Sunday, May 22

Come learn about our plans for a community garden. Ask your questions and offer your suggestions. We are just in the planning stage. Sunday, May 22 at 4pm (follow the signs) at Western Boulevard Presbyterian Church.

I'm a neighborhood advocate. I started off by getting involved in the Pleasant Ridge & Ramsgate Community Watch program and helped unite other neighborhoods in my community by forming the Lineberry Alliance. I continue work with neighborhood leaders in the District D Neighborhood Alliance (DDNA) and serve as planning co-chair for CityCamp Raleigh.
