An empty 2.4 acre piece of land along Lineberry Drive and Sierra Drive, just south of the Farmer’s Market, could be a neighborhood park in the future. And you can help shape what that park will be when it grows up. Are you ready to put your creative mind to work and help create the vision for this park?

Public Workshop: Proposed Neighborhood Park at Sierra Drive and Lineberry Drive

Sponsored by: City of Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department

  • What: Public Workshop
  • When: Tuesday, November 19 | 7-9pm

You are invited to attend a Public Workshop to learn more about the proposed park, speak with members of the project team, and provide your input to help develop the vision for the park. Citizen Planning Committee

On Tuesday, October 29, the Citizen Planning Committee (CPC) met for the first time. The committee is a group of neighbors, stakeholders, and other members of the community that are charged with making a recommendation for the master plan of the proposed park. I am a member of the Citizen Planning Committee and will be volunteering my time to represent my neighborhood as best I can. I also plan to blog about my experience here on southwestraleigh.com.

Great news! The Citizen Planning Committee is looking to add a few more dedicated individuals. If you can commit to attending several meetings over the next few months, 3-4 workshops, and have an interest in working on the master plan, then there may be a seat for you at the table. If you feel that you qualify or want to know more about this opportunity, please contact Matthew Keough at [email protected] or (919) 996-265.
