Join us for the 4th Annual Socks and Undie 5K Rundie benefiting Note in the Pocket on April 22, 2017 in beautiful Dorothea Dix park in downtown Raleigh, NC. Costumes are encouraged! The 5K is timed and prizes are awarded to male & female overall winners as well as the winner for each age group.  Children 12 and under may register for our 1/2 K Fun Rundie! Parents may accompany their child on the 1/2 K. Prizes are awarded for first male and female finisher of the 1/2 K Fun Rundie as well as prizes for best costume.

Note in the Pocket, a local non-profit that provides clothing to the impoverished and homeless in Wake County. Donations of new bags of socks and underwear will be collected at the race. Although these items are not required, they will be greatly appreciated. Please help us raise more money by becoming a fundraiser or creating a fundraising team!

This is a fun family event that inspires healthy physical activity, introduces cycling education to kids of all ages, and encourages families to practice new skills that they can continue to enjoy together at home.

Hosted in partnership with RPD’s Southeast District Community, the Marble’s Bike Rodeo offers a fun and accessible way for kids and families to learn bike safety and healthy active tips. Participants can bring their own bikes, trikes and helmets or use ones provided. Families can stop by for a variety of activities and bike themed fun, including safety demonstrations, five-point maintenance checks and helmet fittings, three-part communication cycling track, healthy snack stations, and more!

Activities:

Bike Bling Makeshop– accessorize in style! There will be a timed parade for our creative cyclists to showcase their one of kind designs.

Tinker Time – how does it work? Junior mechanics will have the opportunity to get familiar with the inner workings of a bike. Practice fine motor control, and get familiar with the tools of the trade.

Art on the Move – Painting, weaving, creating with upcycled bike parts & more. Kick off the summer season with outdoor play ideas to inspire families to continue the fun at home.

Swap It Out – Bring your old outgrown bikes, helmets and other wheely fun items to donate to another family or trade out for something more your size!

The seventh annual Out! Raleigh festival is an inclusive and action-packed, family-friendly event, with activities for all ages. Out! Raleigh is an important way to raise the necessary funds to support the LGBT Center of Raleigh and all of its 20+ amazing community programs. Last year, more than 51,000 people poured into Raleigh’s City Plaza to celebrate the LGBT community and our friends and families.

Running from 11:00am to 6:00pm, the event offers live entertainment, local vendors and artists, great food, a KidsZone, and a beer garden! There is no admission fee.

The Bike Fashion Show will celebrate the function and fashion of all types of cycle wear and gear no matter what type of biker you are! From breathable spandex onesies to comfortable commuter clothing, see bikers ride the runway as they style different gear on mountain bikes, road bikes, fold-able/portable bikes, cruiser/Dutch bikes and more!

Local vendors including Raleigh Denim, Lumina Clothing, Oak City Cycling Project, Runologie and more will display their clothing and gear on and off the runway.

Show will start at 7:30. Grab some food, listen to some music, check out our vendors, and claim a seat!
