A public input session will be held Monday, January 22, 2018 at West Raleigh Presbyterian Church (27 Horne Street) to gain the community’s input on a parking study currently underway. This public input session will be the public’s opportunity to provide the consultants with challenges and solutions to parking in and around the Hillsborough Street district.
Representatives from NC State, City of Raleigh, Live It Up! Hillsborough Street and the consultants, Kimley-Horn, will be in attendance.
The goal of the study is to document the supply and demand for parking on and around Hillsborough Street. The study will help the partnership develop cost-effective strategies to implement in the short-term, but will also accommodate the city’s growth and economic development goals, the university master plan, and the goals of the Wake Transit Plan.
The study will also develop a set of strategic scenarios that will evaluate the effectiveness of potential improvements to parking access, user experience, and safety while supporting the mobility and economic development goals of the community.
The study is being funded by Live It Up! Hillsborough Street, the City of Raleigh, and North Carolina State University.
Light appetizers will be provided.
