Several items of potential interest will be covered at the next Hillsborough Citizens Advisory Council (HCAC) Agenda for Thursday, January 16, 2014, Pullen Arts Center, 7:00 PM.

  2. Standing reports:
    1. Raleigh Police Department (Officer Barbie Upchurch)
    2. Parks & Recreation (Eliza Kiser)
    3. Neighborhood news & updates (West Morgan, Pullen Park Terrace, Pullen Park, Cameron Park, Cameron Village)
  3. Dennis H. Lassiter, P.E., Construction Projects Administrator for Raleigh’s Public Utilities Department, will present information about an upcoming water and sewer line project to replace existing water and sewer lines on Ashe Ave. and Park Ave. beginning by May, 2014. Mr. Lassiter will provide a handout containing brief information, including a map of the area, and he will answer questions.
  4. David F. Brown, RLA, ASLA, LEEDR AP, Associate and Senior Project Manager for JDAVIS Architects, will provide an update on the 616 Oberlin project regarding the request for Preliminary Site Plan Approval.
  5. New business: Carter Pettibone, AICP, Urban Planner, City of Raleigh Urban Design Center, An Office of the Planning & Development Department, will present a UDO mapping update and answer questions.
  6. Open discussion on member preferences for voting on rezoning matters; specifically, whether HCAC members prefer voting by show of hands or private ballot.
  7. Open discussion on HCAC goals for 2014 and beyond, using newly-adopted vision and mission for Raleigh CACs as a starting point.
  8. Adjourn.
