NC Symphony Presents the Music of the Rolling Stones ~ Jan. 19 & 20
An evening celebrating one of the most iconic rock groups in history. A masterful combination of symphonic arrangements with a full rock band delivers the Stones’ greatest hits including “Satisfaction,” “Paint It, Black,” “Ruby Tuesday,” and many more.
Raleigh Roasts ~ Jan. 20
The City of Raleigh Museum is hosting Raleigh Roasts, an event that celebrates Raleigh’s café culture. Larry’s Coffee, Lucette Grace, Raleigh Coffee Company, Rise Biscuits and Donuts, Benelux Coffee, and Escazu Chocolates will be providing patrons with samples and selling their products.
Visitors can purchase a $5 wristband that will allow them to sample freely and includes a complimentary COR coffee mug. Chatham Rabbits Music Co. will provide entertainment, playing acoustic music throughout the event.
Pop-Up Raleigh Monthly Market ~ Jan. 20

Hillsborough Street Parking Public Input Meeting ~ Jan. 22
A public input session to gain the community’s input on a parking study.The goal of the study is to document the supply and demand for parking on and around Hillsborough Street, help develop cost-effective strategies, and accommodate the city’s growth and economic development goals, the university master plan, and the goals of the Wake Transit Plan.
Dix Park Public Lecture | From Memory to Action: Elizabeth Silkes ~ Jan. 23
A Site of Conscience is a place of memory that confronts both the history of what happened there and its legacies. Sites of Conscience begin by facing all aspects of their history. Then they go a step further, activating the historical perspective with dynamic public dialogue on related issues faced today and what we can do about them.
Elizabeth Silkes, Executive Director of the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience’s free lecture “From Memory to Action” will explore the past, present, and potential future life of Dorothea Dix Park as our community seeks to honor the land’s history.
