State Farmers Market Spring Craft Fair ~ March 9, 10, 11

The State Farmers Market Spring Craft Fair is an annual event featuring hundreds of handmade crafts. This is in addition to the regular vendors that are at the market throughout the year. In addition to the craft fair you will find farm fresh fruits, vegetables, plants, meats, cheeses, baked goods, sauces, fresh seafood, and much more!

Join Advocates for Health in Action and partner Marbles Kids Museum for Dig In! to explore how urban agriculture, community gardens, and edible gardens in schools and child care settings grow a healthier Wake County. Learn how you can contribute to healthier communities in Wake County through edible gardens and urban ag. Gain inspiration, participate in workshops, network with others, learn from educational booths, and hear from keynoter Katie Stagliano about how each of us makes a difference in nourishing our community.

Bowie Ball ~ March 10

The Lincoln Theatre is head over glitter to announce that the Bowie Ball is back for another year. Both floors are open to art, glamification station, body painting, photo booth, lounge, and Bowie Ball resident DJ 40 oz. will be pushing out the best of Bowie and Bowie-esque music for everyone’s listening and dancing pleasure.

 

Toast to the Triangle 2018 ~ March 11

Tantalize your taste buds at the 32nd annual Toast to the Triangle! Forty of the Triangle area’s best restaurants and beverage providers will be competing to be your favorite flavor of the night by providing samples of their fare. In between bites, bid on over 100 silent auction items and packages, enter to win jewelry and vacations, purchase a mystery bottle of wine, snap a photo in the green screen photo booth and more! The yearly event raises money for the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities.

Ethel with Robert Mirabel ~ March 15

Indie-classical quartet, ETHEL, joins forces with three-time Grammy Award-winning Pueblo musician and Native American instrument maker, Robert Mirabal, to present The River, an evening of new music inspired by water and its essential role in life on earth. The piece was created in collaboration during a retreat at Mirabal’s home on the Taos Pueblo, with each artist bringing their individual insights to the table. The experience will immerse you in a flow of music, narrative and ritual that evokes timeless Native American traditions through contemporary musical artistry.
