Raleigh Christmas Parade ~ Nov. 18

Celebrating its 73rd anniversary, the Raleigh Christmas Parade is the largest between DC and Atlanta. Featuring 115 participants, it begins on Hillsborough Street at St. Mary’s Street, proceeds to the State Capitol, turns right onto Salisbury Street, turns left onto Morgan St., turns right onto Fayetteville St, and continues to Lenoir Street where it disbands.Join the thousands who come out to see floats, performers, Raleigh groups, and Santa.

22nd Annual American Indian Heritage Celebration ~ Nov. 18

Musicians, dancers, artists, storytellers, and authors from North Carolina’s eight state-recognized tribes will gather for this popular family event.

With something for all ages, the celebration is a firsthand opportunity to learn about the state’s American Indian culture, past and present. Craft demonstrations, hands-on activities, games, foods, and much more. FREE to the public.

Triangle Youth Orchestra and Symphony Fall Concert ~ Nov. 21

Two family-friendly concerts for the price of one. The Triangle Youth orchestra will perform at 7:00 playing Trepak from the Nutcracker, Winter from the Four Seasons, and Verdi’s Grand March from Aida. After an intermission to re-set the stage,  the Triangle Youth Symphony will perform at 8:00. They will play the first movement of Mozart’s Paris Symphony, The Overture to The Wasps and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Russian Easter Overture.
