The Scandinavian Christmas Fair is a celebration of the rich traditions of the Nordic countries: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland.
This old-world Julmarknad will get you into the spirit of the season as you enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of Scandinavia: homemade Scandinavian food, live Nordic entertainment all day, craft items and gifts, and a spectacular Lucia Procession.
Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting Celebration ~ Dec. 2
This year’s Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting Celebration features a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, live entertainment, a 40-foot Snowzilla Slide, other amusements and activities, holiday refreshments, and Gingerbread House and Holiday Hound Costume contests. The fun culminates in City Plaza with the Mayor’s lighting of the 35-foot Norway spruce tree brought in from the mountains of North Carolina.
Shop for Good Day Market ~ Dec. 2
Peruse unique items offered up by nonprofits and local businesses with part of proceeds benefiting local causes! Sample food and sip tasty beverages, grab photos with Santa, family, and friends, shop for the holidays, and get your gift wrapping done!
Boylan Heights Artwalk ~ Dec. 3
The Boylan Heights Artwalk is a local outdoor art show hosted by the historic Boylan Heights community. It is located on the streets of Boylan Heights in the front yards, side yards, and front porches of the homeowners in the area. We have a lot of amazing artwork this year so come join the citizens of Boylan Heights celebrate local art just in time for the Holidays!
