The Wedge GardenRSVP for Service Raleigh – Saturday, March 29 from 9 – 12pm.

Service Raleigh is an annual event that brings together NCSU students, neighbors, Citizens Advisory Council (CAC) members, family, and friends to volunteer in our community. This year, you can lend a hand to prepare garden beds for the spring at the Wedge Community Garden. We have a few big projects lined up that require lots of  helpers! This year we will:

  1. Raise all beds with untreated wood;
  2. Pick up dirt, pebbles, and cow manure in a dump truck;
  3. Cover rest of the pathways with pebbles;
  4. Clear out all beds from winter crops;
  5. Fill vegetable beds with dirt and manure;
  6. Turn soil in all beds with shovels;
  7. Organize shed;
  8. And of course plant lots of vegetables, flowers, and herbs.

NEED  A TRUCK:   If you have a pick-up truck or access to a truck, please indicate that in your RSVP. Some of the work above requires a truck and we would be most grateful if someone can help out.
