The Saturday Market
Rebus Works gallery, located next to the Boylan Street Bridge, downtown Raleigh, began The Saturday Market at Rebus Works in April. The market continues weekly through November 19, 2011. The idea is to combine farmers, crafters, and food and beverage trucks in one location. Although the idea is not new, it is new to Raleigh. The Saturday Market offers a unique setting where vendors are set up along a meandering path, past the chicken coop and gardens, right in the heart of downtown Raleigh.
The Market has grown weekly, supported by the local neighborhoods and community. The Market features locally grown food and handmade products, with a focus on being kid friendly, and community oriented. The Saturday Market contains a chicken coop and garden area to educate children about sustainability, as well as a kid’s craft area, so parents can shop while their children are artistically stimulated. The Market also provides 2 classes of donation based yoga each week, and chair massages, providing a draw for folks of all ages, with a positive, local neighborhood feel.
The Saturday Market is located at 301-2 Kinsey Street, (next to the Boylan Street Bridge) Raleigh, NC and is open every Saturday from 9-2pm and will continue through November 19.
