Do you need to report a pothole, a missing sign, a broken sidewalk, graffiti, or something else that needs to be fixed but isn’t urgent enough to call 9-1-1? The City of Raleigh now has a solution for you: See, Click, Fix.
Councilor Bonner Gaylord piloted See, Click, Fix in District E to engage and empower citizens. The pilot was successful in allowing citizens to report non-emergency issues to the city. The other part that made this successful was the responsiveness of the city to these reports.
Last week, Raleigh expanded the See, Click, Fix pilot and is now offering the service city-wide. I’m confident that the citizens in south west Raleigh will jump right in and start to participate. All residents can use the See, Click, Fix website or a smart phone application to report potholes, graffiti, and other non-emergency issues to the City.
According to Assistant City Manager Dan Howe, “The City of Raleigh is hoping that See Click Fix will provide a convenient tool for citizens to use to alert us to issues in the community as they arise. City staff and the City Council take great pride in the high level of service provided to citizens in Raleigh and it is our hope that See Click Fix can add another means for citizens to partner with our elected officials and professional staff as we all work to keep our city clean, safe and well-maintained.”
Note: The See, Click, Fix service is not intended to be used for regular concerns that already have a reporting and tracking mechanism in place–such as missed garbage or recycling collection.
