The area that is now Cameron Village had its start in the late 1940’s, when the shopping center and surrounding houses were built. Neighborhood architecture consists mainly of ranch style homes and apartments. Especially with the recent addition of three large apartment complexes, the Village is gaining an ever more urban feel.
