Here’s to a wonderful 2012, Southwest Raleigh! We may have lost a few restaurants in  such as Hi-5 and Bogarts, but we have also gained some awesome spots such as Draft and Brewmaster’s Bar and Grill. Here’s to a prosperous 2012 for the Creative District.

Southwest Raleigh is home to some of the best restaurants in the area. Each week, Raleigh Specials Tonight will feature a few of these restaurants in Raleigh’s Creative District. Be sure to check here before planning your night out this week.

This week we feature Golden Dragon, Mantra, and Armadillo Grill.

Golden Dragon
2402 Hillsborough St., Raleigh, NC

• Known for: Great take-out! I swore by this place when I lived off of Peace St.
  
• When to go: They have lunch specials for as low as $4.55! They also have some coupons on their site that you can use for dine-in or take-out.

Mantra
116 N. West St., Raleigh, NC 27603

• Known for: Being the New Kid on the block in the Power District serving up fine Indian cuisine. This restaurant should satisfy omnivores and vegetarians alike.
• When to go: They are currently offering an Executive Lunch Special for $9.99. Get it before it’s gone.

Armadillo Grill
439 Glenwood Ave

• Known for: Being an old-stand-by for hungry bar-crawlers on Glenwood Ave.
  
• When to go: They are open late and have a nice selection of tequila. When you have a craving in the evening for either of these, this is your place.
