A three-day celebration of music, food, and dance from around the world. More than 60 ethnic groups, 25 international food vendors, non-stop music and world-bazaar shopping all under one roof. Bring the kids for activities and booths to learn about world cultures.
Each day features unique performances including a dance competition, fashion show, cooking demonstrations, and a weddings-around-the-world presentation. Enjoy the Biergarten featuring international techniques and flavors from local breweries or desserts and coffees with an international flair.
Groove in the Garden ~ Oct. 21
Groove in the Garden is back for year three in the Stephenson Amphitheater and Rose Garden! Tons of great live music, local food trucks, vendors and more will all be on hand to make our annual garden party one of the most fun days of the year. Suitable for all ages. A portion of the proceeds from this year’s music and arts festival will benefit Girls Rock NC, an organization in central North Carolina that works to empower girls, women, & folks of marginalized genders—through creative expression—to be confident and engaged members of their communities.
Dix Park Movie by Moonlight Halloween Double Feature ~ Oct. 21
The City of Raleigh and Alamo Drafthouse Cinema continue the successful Movies by Moonlight series at Dorothea Dix Park. Dress up and join the fun for a Halloween double-feature showing “Hocus Pocus” at 7 p.m. and “Shaun of the Dead” at 9 p.m. Special contests, props and surprises are all part of the evening’s entertainment. There will be a kids’ costume contest prior to the start of “Hocus Pocus” as well as an adults’ costume contest. A themed pre-show video will be airing prior to the start of each movie so plan to arrive early. Daddy Bob’s BBQ and Captain Cookie and the Milkman food trucks will be joining us!
