The City of Raleigh Parks & Rec Summer Leisure Ledger came out a few weeks ago. It is your guide to all the programs, facilities, leagues and special events going on throughout the city. And being in the Creative District, we have several fun and unique ways to get out and enjoy the parks, pools, and community centers this summer.
Here are quite a few to highlight:

- Evening Yoga: May 3-Jun 7 (Th) from 6-7:30pm; Lake Johnson; $70; ages 18-60
- Summer Sand Volleyball: Jun-Aug; days and times vary; Jaycee Community Center; fees vary; ages 18+; registration is May 1-14
- Lake Wheeler Kid’s Fishing Derby: Sat, June 2 from 8am-2pm; Lake Wheeler; FREE; ages 6-12
- Swim Team: Jun 18-Aug 6 (M, W, F); times vary; Lake Johnson Pool, Pullen Aquatic Center or Ridge Rd Pool; $65; ages 3-18; participants must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted
- Glass Fusion: Jun 19-21 (T, Th); 9am-noon; Pullen Arts Center; $82; ages 16+
- Bike Clinic: Sat, June 28 from 2-4pm; Peach Rd; ages 6-15
