Are you itching to bring the family to Pullen Park, but irritated with the parking situation on the weekends? Not to worry, additional parking options have been secured to help ease your frustrations. The City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation department announced that additional weekend parking is available at Governor Morehead School.
The Governor Morehead School is located just north of Pullen Park at 301 Ashe Ave. Overflow parking will be available on the weekends from 10am – 10pm. After you park at Governor Morehead School, turn left onto Ashe Ave and use the sidewalks and pedestrian crosswalks to access Pullen Park. But where else can you park?
Here’s a helping list of parking options for Pullen Park:
During the week
- Overflow parking is available at the Hunt Drive soccer fields on the Dorothea Dix campus until 5pm. After parking, cross over Western Blvd at the stop light and follow the sidewalk less than a mile to Ashe Ave. Pullen Park will then be on your left.
On the weekends
- Overflow parking is available at Cates Ave parking deck on the NC State campus; cross Pullen Rd to access Pullen Park from the West
- Overflow parking is available at Governor Morehead School from 10am-10pm
Remember not to park at Pullen Aquatic Center or Pullen Community Center unless you are using the facility at the time. Parking permits are being issued to patrons to help control parking at those lots. See the Parks & Rec notice for more information.
