The countdown is on with five regular Saturday Markets left. We have some exciting events planned in conjunction with the second season of The Saturday Market coming to a close. This week we will have our regular vendors that provide all the
fresh produce, dairy, meats and specialty goods that make our market so unique.
We have Captain Poncho’s Tacos joining us this week and Donation Yoga will take place inside Rebus Works from 10-11am, so bring your mat and your beautiful self for an hour of de-stressing. Then, join us for Pop A Top! Food Truck Rodeo to kick off Aviator Brewing Company’s New Canned Beers @ Rebus Works on Saturday October 27, 2012.
Pop A Top food truck rodeo on Saturday October 27
Rebus Works is hosting Pop A Top: A food truck rodeo with live music to kick off Aviator Brewing Company’s new canned beers on Saturday, October 27, from 12-4pm. The event will benefit The Saturday Market, Raleigh’s weekly, local food and craft market featuring garden and oven-free goodies, handmade uniquities, and more. We’re winding down our second year and are hoping to grow the market to make it even better next year. Pop A Top will include a food truck rodeo, two bands, local art + craft vendors, and a kids’ costume contest.
Aviator Brewing Company recently released three of their craft beers in cans — Hotrod Red and Devil’s Tramping Ground Tripel, both of which won Gold at the 2012 NC Brewer’s Cup, and Hogwild IPA which won Silver. We’ll have some pretty great Pop A Top can koozies available to keep your craft beers cold!
We’ll have plenty of food trucks on hand – Only Burger, Bulkogi, Sarge’s Chef on Wheels and La Farm Bakery. We’ll also have music by: Chip Robinson and the Heavy Beat Outfit & Richard Bacchus and the Luckiest Girls.
Here’s the schedule:
- 12pm – Pop A Top starts – Food trucks, Aviator beers, local art + crafters
- 1pm – Kids’ costume contest with some great prizes for the little ones
- 2-4pm – Bands perform
We’re honored to have some great local sponsors on board for Pop A Top–Aviator Brewing Company, Tyler’s Bottle Shop @ Seaboard Station, Tasty Beverage Company, The Borough and Taste Carolina Gourmet Food Tours. All share our vision of making Raleigh a better place to live, and we’re pleased to have them join in our additional goal of creating vibrant events to bring the community together to celebrate the great things Raleigh has to offer!

What is The Saturday Market?
Rebus Works gallery, located next to the Boylan Street Bridge, downtown Raleigh, began The Saturday Market at Rebus Works in April 2011. The market continues weekly through November. The idea is to combine farmers, crafters, and food and beverage trucks in one location. Although the idea is not new, it is new to Raleigh. The Saturday Market offers a unique setting where vendors are set up along a meandering path, past the chicken coop and gardens, right in the heart of downtown Raleigh.
The Saturday Market is located at 301-2 Kinsey Street, (next to the Boylan Street Bridge) Raleigh, NC and is open every Saturday from 9-1pm and will continue through November 17.
