The Saturday Market is winding down the regular season but we’re not going out without a bang! Or rather a thump! Join us for our Pre-Vegetation Celebration on November 17th from 9am-4 pm. The event will be held at Rebus Works in the historic Boylan Heights neighborhood–301-2 Kinsey Street, Raleigh, NC.
We’ll start The Saturday Market at 9am with an awesome line-up of vendors selling their delicious produce — Double T Farms, Part and Parcel, and Pinhole Farms, LoMo Market and Tiny Farm. There will also be a wide selection of specialty goods from Muddy Dog Coffee, Bill’s Lemon Tahini, Sweets Raleigh, and Porch Rockin’s jellies and jams.
Around 10am the food trucks will roll in with a variety that only our market is known to facilitate. We start with Chirba Chirba Dumplings, one of the more unique food trucks in town. Moving down the line, we’ll have Captain Poncho’s Tacos, Klausie’s Pizza, Big City Sandwich, Gussy’s Greek Food, Big Mike’s BBQ and Chicken-n-Que.
We’ll let you in on a secret to managing the food truck lines: Hit Triangle Raw Foods first to grab a super healthy prepared food, then get in line for another truck! It makes the wait so much more pleasurable. There will also be plenty of healthy beverages to consume and a wide selection of tasty suds–which also helps the waiting between trucks!
At 1pm GOUGE Wrestling starts and we have quite the line-up: Tag team champs Alex Adonis & Otto Schwanz vs. The Krazy Kill Klowns will kick it off. Several other matches will follow, such as Jimmy Jack Funk Jr. vs. Sean Alexander, Seymour Snott vs. Frank Stalletto. Also, HeadRush, Crumb the Bum, Leatherface and Jaheem the Dream!
Bring the kids for lunch, and enjoy this great afternoon of food, drink, and wrestling!
Because of the success and strong demand of The Saturday market, we’re pleased to announce we’ll be extending the market through the winter. We’ll have slightly shortened hours. Beginning Nov. 24th, please join us from 10:30-1pm.
What is The Saturday Market?
Rebus Works gallery, located next to the Boylan Street Bridge, downtown Raleigh, began The Saturday Market at Rebus Works in April 2011. The market continues weekly through November. The idea is to combine farmers, crafters, and food and beverage trucks in one location. Although the idea is not new, it is new to Raleigh. The Saturday Market offers a unique setting where vendors are set up along a meandering path, past the chicken coop and gardens, right in the heart of downtown Raleigh.
The Saturday Market is located at 301-2 Kinsey Street, (next to the Boylan Street Bridge) Raleigh, NC and is open every Saturday from 9-1pm and will continue through November 17.
