One of Downtown Raleigh’s most prominent corporate residents, Red Hat Inc., is hosting a free concert on Friday, August 2 at Red Hat Amphitheater. Alternative rockers Silversun Pickups will headline the event with supporting acts to be announced in the coming weeks. Raleigh-based Red Hat, the world’s leading provider of open source software solutions, recently moved its headquarters to Downtown Raleigh.
“Red Hat is extremely excited to be in Downtown Raleigh,” said DeLisa Alexander, executive vice president and chief people officer at Red Hat. “This year marks our 20th anniversary as a company, and it’s an honor to host such a fun event for the city, the Downtown Raleigh community, and Red Hat employees. We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate our move than with our neighbors.”
The concert will take place during the First Friday events on August 2. No tickets will be required for the concert. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m.
