A great item for anyone’s to-do list is to check out the North Carolina Art Museum. One of coolest ways to explore the area is to bike the greenway around the art museum. This is what I added to my fall bucket list and I encourage you to pick a nice day to try it out too.
Biking the blue loop is great place to start, but there are a variety of greenway connectors and, of course, you can always continue exploring via the Reedy Creek Greenway. There are a variety of art installations along the course, the three rings are always popular for photo-ops and the giant “ear of corn” stands tall.
On my bike ride this day, I rode from the Walnut Creek Greenway and then picked up the Rocky Branch Greenway that runs through NC State campus. Near Meredith College, I picked up the Reedy Creek Greenway and crossed over the Wade Avenue pedestrian bridge. If you are new to the area, heads up, there is a challenging hill between the art museum and the pedestrian bridge. You’ve been warned.
