CityCamp RaleighCityCamp Raleigh has announced a $5000 prize to be awarded to the top group or individual with a technology solution. The prize will be awarded on creativity, execution, and feasibility. Details will be provided at the event.

Attendance to the event is free and the first 150 registrants will receive a t-shirt and complimentary breakfast and lunch during the event. You can register online at citycampral.org/register.

The event would not be possible without sponsors. The prize and complimentary food and beverages are possible from sponsor contributions including Red Hat, Alfresco, IBM, Microsoft, GoTriangle.org, WRAL.com, Downtown Raleigh Alliance, Tropo, Raleigh Economic Development, GovLoop, GovUp, Gov2.0radio, SAS, Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau, and GovDelivery.

There is also a CityCamp Raleigh GovUp being held on Friday, June 3, 5:30 – 8:00 pm at Flying Saucer Draught Emporium, Downtown Raleigh. A GovUp is a meetup-like event, basically a happy hour style mixing and mingling with a little inspiration from a speaker. You’ll need to register for the GovUp separately.

Raleigh’s Creative District is glad to play host for the Friday and Saturday portions of the event which include speakers on June 3rd and an uncoference on June 4th located at Vintage 21. All the details are at citycampral.org.

Disclaimer: I am the planning co-chair for CityCamp Raleigh.
