CAMraleighJoin CAM Raleigh on Saturday, October 29, 2011 for Fright at the Museum. Have a blast on Halloween weekend and support a fabulous new local arts organization. Come to CAM Raleigh (the new Contemporary Art Museum) in Raleigh’s warehouse district for a night of dancing, music by local favorite DJs – Jon Yu, Yes! Sputnik, Discovery’s Nixxed and Hidden Cat.

Don’t miss the over-the-top photo booth, great local food provided by some of Raleigh’s best restaurants, pop-up dance performances by Black Irish, Graffiti art work Matthew Curran, Derek Toomes, Sean Kernick and friends, Horror Films by Rob Underhill, video art projections by Yuxtapongo, fire and aerial performances from Pheonix Rising productions, art installation by Ron Liberti and more. Fright at the Museum is set in downtown Raleigh’s coolest museum space surrounded by cutting edge art, both inside and outside. This is the party you should be scared to miss. The madness starts at 8pm.

Fright at the Museum will also be host to Raleigh’s coolest Halloween costume contest. This is the place to show off your most creative get-ups. Our panel of celebrity judges (Aly and Beth Khalifa of Design Box and SPARKcon; and the very talented Toola) will select winners from these five costume categories:

  • Wicked Funny
  • Least Likely to Take Home to Mom
  • Best Group/Couple,
  • Most Creative
  • Wild Card (judges choice)

Prizes for costume winners (besides ultimate bragging rights) will be hand-made, one-of-a-kind trophies from the very talented artists: Leo Gaev & Leigh Suggs, Christian Karkow, Sarah Powers, Scott Reeder, and Ian Pause.
