On Saturday, August 25 from 5-9pm, enjoy our Food Truck Rodeo with GOUGE Wrestling—a free family fun event at Rebus Works!

In 2006, a revolutionary form of wrestling crawled out of the depths of the Raleigh bar scene known as GOUGE Wrestling. GOUGE is a different brand of wrestling than you see from anywhere in the world. You will see a meeting of giants likened back to the carnival days from which the noble sport hath sprung. Cowboys will fight the Italian Mafia who will then team up with a team of rap stars to defeat evil villians with heat brought straight from the trailer park fighting nerds and sideshow oddities with an occasional king.  GOUGE is professional wrestling the way it should be done: with humor and lots of Grogs.

Update: Food trucks joining us will be: Klausie’s Pizza, Triangle Raw Foods, Captain Poncho’s Tacos, Sympathy for the Deli, Chirba Chirba Dumplings, Bulkogi Korean Barbeque, Porchetta! The food trucks have offered to donate some of their profit to help pay for wrestling and the rest will benefit The Saturday Market and Cirque de Vol.

We have also added Cirque de Vol to the line up so after the last GOUGE match they’ll start their Fire Dancing performance.

There will be plenty of beverages as well with Big Boss’ Angry Angel and Lonerider’s Sweet Josie on tap and ice cold cans of PBR and Mother Earth’s Second Wind.

Rebus Works is open Tuesday-Friday from 11-6pm and Saturday 11-4pm. The Saturday Market is open from 9-1pm every Saturday until November 17th.

Find us at 301-2 Kinsey Street, Raleigh, NC 27603.
