Rolling hills. Beautiful views. Places to gather, read, and picnic. Children playing. The sound of laughter or the sound of serenity. Music, exhibits, technology, celebrations.

We relish the thought of what Dix Park can be. North Carolina’s version of Central Park or Golden Gate Park? A grand version of Raleigh’s popular Pullen Park? A celebration of art and architecture like Millennium Park? One thing Dix Park can be — our greatest attraction and a reflection of the uniqueness of North Carolina.

But that vision is threatened and we need your help. Please sign this petition to let our state representatives and our Governor know that we want Dix Park, not a parking lot. We don’t want this land spoiled by more offices and surface parking, or sold off to developers for another shopping center.

We want to preserve Dix Park, honor the past and celebrate the future of what Raleigh, our region, and our state can be. If you believe, sign the petition today and tell your friends to sign it. Time is running out!
