The Royal Bakery Mall, across from Meredith College, continues to hold new and exciting businesses that help create the unique atmosphere of Hillsborough Street. The two newest businesses include Endless Gaming and the 724 Church. While both businesses are very different, Jeff Murison of the Hillsborough Street Community Service Corporation says, “Having a variety of businesses will help attract a diverse group of people to Hillsborough Street and we really want there to be something for everyone to enjoy.”
Endless Gaming is “Your #1 source for Collectible Card Games, Miniatures, and LAN eSports in the Triangle.” They provide gamers with a large variety of games and are always willing to order something if they don’t have it in stock. Endless Gaming has great hours too, that really seem to be almost endless. Their store hours are 12pm-12am Monday-Thursday and Sunday they are open from 10am-10pm. Friday they open at 12pm and Saturday 10am, and are willing to stay as long as people are still gaming, which is usually around 3am.
Michael Walsh, owner of Endless Gaming, says, “We are very customer oriented and are always happy to provide our customers with the best gaming experience possible.” Along with purchasing games, Endless Gaming provides the systems to play games in the store based on hourly rates. Also, May 7th there will be a Bloodline Champions tournament at 10am. There is no entrance fee and there will be $1000 in prizes.
Many people in the Raleigh area struggle to find the right church for them and the 724 Church may be just the place for them. It is a Christian and Missionary Alliance that holds services at 10am on Sunday. Pastor Lee Towns says, “The Church is a very comfortable and casual environment, welcoming, and much like a coffee shop.”
The 724 Church has a live band at their service and is a mixed congregation of families, singles, and young couples. This weekend many Raleigh residents are looking for a church to attend for the Easter holiday. 724 is holding a service called Easter in the Park at 10am in Bailey Wick Park. They are also currently developing a relief strategy for the tornados that hit in Raleigh and would love any help they can get. To learn more about these events visit their website at 724raleigh.com.
“Hillsborough Street is rapidly becoming Raleigh’s newest destination, with new businesses opening seemingly every week,” said Murison. “We currently have over 250 million dollars in redevelopment projects, and events designed to attract customers again and again.”
