In Cinderella – December 9-18, 2011

raleigh_tittle_theatreThe beautiful lass-who-lost-her-slipper makes her 28th annual appearance in hopes of finding her Prince Charming. The stepsisters are the ugliest in the land and the Fairy Godmother and her helpers, the zaniest. Combine elegant ball gowns and a magical coach ride with lively song and dance, and you have a holiday tradition the whole family can enjoy. Whether this is your first Cinderella, or 28th, you will treasure your visit to the enchanted Kingdom of King Darling, III.

Fresh from NYC, Kelly Francis will perform the title role, courtesy of Actor’s Equity Association, with repeat offenders Dennis Poole and Timothy Cherry taking on the roles of the ugly stepsisters, Gertrude & Henrietta. Under the artistic directorship of Haskell Fitz-Simons (who has directed all 28 years), the cast also features RLT star veterans Sandi Sullivan as the Fairy Godmother and Rose Martin as Step Mama. Among the other alumni who have participated all 28 years are Jo Brown (style coach), and Betsy Bates (props). Cinderella returns “home” again to the intimate Main Stage at Raleigh Little Theatre, and opens on December 9, 2011, and will run through December18, 2011.

The cast will join the audience for a meet-and-greet and autograph signing session, following each performance. You will also want to visit Cindy’s Boutique, located in the lobby, for glittery magic wands and princess paraphernalia of grand proportions!
