Watch out for delays and detours on Hillsborough Street, Edenton Street, and Pullen Road, Saturday, January 8, 2011. Drivers should plan alternate routes due to a road race from 8:30 to 11:30 am.
Jan. 8, 2011 -Traffic will be impacted on January 8 for a road race from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The group will assemble on the 100 block of East Edenton Street. At 10 a.m., the group will proceed west on Edenton Street to Hillsborough Street, continue west on Hillsborough Street to Pullen Road where they will turn around and return to the start/finish line using the same roads.

The event is the “Run for Young” 5K race. It starts at 10:00 am and ends approximately one hour later.
Race Route:
- Assemble in the 200 block of E. Edenton St.
- West on Edenton to Hillsborough St.
- Continue west on Hillsborough St. to Oberlin
- Right on Oberlin and left at traffic circle-counter clockwise
- Left on Pullen
- Right at traffic circle counterclockwise and proceed east on Hillsborough St. to the start/finish line
