Lake Wheeler Vet client appreciation day
Faced with staggering medical bills for her brother’s family, Dr. Sandra Grant, owner of Lake Wheeler Veterinary, is hosting a benefit fundraiser on Sunday, September 25, 2011. The fundraiser will start at 12:30pm at Raleigh Oaks shopping center, 2720 Lake Wheeler Road. It will be in the parking lot directly in front of the vet clinic.
Dr. Grant is planning a number of events to raise money.
What happening at the event
- Cuban BBQ by Havana Grill, plus Hotdogs for kids
- Book Sale
- Bake Sale
- Raffles:
- Protect-a-Bed Tempura Pillow
- My Canvas Images 8 X 10
- Basket of Avon goodies
On site:
- Carolina Rescue: Photo ops with some of their rescued animals
- I Sharpen It: will sharpen knives only and donate proceeds
- Raleigh Massage School students will give chair massages ($5.00 donation)
- Pretty in Pink (Breast Cancer Foundation) will provide information
- 1 in 9 (Breast Cancer Assistance organization) will provide info
How you can donate
Dr. Grant could really use help from folks in our neighborhoods to:
- Donate books ahead of time for the book sale (starting now! please bring books for donation to the Vet clinic.)
- Bake items for the bake sale
- Help with advance arrangements
- Help set up set up morning of event (tent, arrange books and baked goods, price these items, whatever we can do)
Everyone is welcome to participate in the event.
