It was a great day to be on Hillsborough Street for Packapalooza and to celebrate all things NC State. The weather was perfect and the music was fun. Compared to last year, Packapalooza seemed to have more vendors, more activities, and a much bigger turnout. Which is awesome. I thought it was great to see so many people come out for a community event. While part of the focus may have been to welcome new and returning students, it’s a great opportunity to showcase Hillsborough Street and the Raleigh community.I took my family to Packapalooza and we had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the music and the people watching, but were disappointed we didn’t score a “This is our STATE” yard sign. I wonder what will happen to all those signs? I can see dorm room windows decorated in red, making claim to NC.
