Valentines for Veterans – January 22 to February 3 at all libraries, decorate a card to send to local veterans for Valentine’s Day; Athens Drive, Cameron Village, and the Express Library on Fayetteville St are in the Creative District.
Art in the Evening and Sound Bites at NC Museum of Art – Fridays in February, explore the galleries after dark with small plates, wine, and live music or enjoy a casual exploration of a single work of art that symbolizes love.
Cupid’s Arrow Cooking Class at Method Rd Community Center – Friday, February 8 from 5:30-8:30pm, ages 6-12, $5; let kids learn new recipes (mini heart pizzas, jello hearts, and more) while making valentine crafts and parents can have a night out.
Couples Cooking at Powell Drive Community Center – Saturday, February 9 from 5-9pm, $15, ages 18+, make a gourmet meal from start to finish.
Valentine’s Treats at Jaycee Community Center – Monday, February 11 from 6-7pm, ages 6-10, $15; parents and kids cook up some yummy dessert treats together.
Winter Walk at Arboretum – Tuesday, February 12 at JC Raulston Arboretum, 1-2:30pm, FREE, explore the pops of color of the foilage and flowers at JC Raulston Arboretum.
Ice Cream Social at Five Points Center for Active Adults – Thursday, February 14 from 2-3:30pm, $4; enjoy ice cream social, games and prizes as part of the festivities.
