The Glenwood and Brooklyn neighborhoods together form the Glenwood-Brooklyn Historic District. The area was first developed in the late nineteenth century and grew alongside Glenwood Avenue’s electric streetcar line in the early 1900s. Glenwood-Brooklyn is home to Fletcher Park and walking distance from Glenwood South, Raleigh’s newest dining and night-life spot.
