The 2014 Rock ‘n’ Roll Raleigh Marathon & Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, April 13 and is expecting over 12,000 runners. Raleigh residents living within a quarter-mile of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon and Half Marathon routes should have received a door hanger containing road closure information for race day. The door hangers include road closures, alternate routes, access notes, and a course map.
According to the City of Raleigh road closure page:
The race will start at 7:00 a.m. on South Salisbury Street near Davie Street Downtown, and will pass the Capitol Building, the Governor’s Mansion, The Raleigh Rose Garden, the North Carolina State University campus, PNC Arena, and through several of Raleigh’s beautiful neighborhoods. The last marathon finisher is expected to cross the finish line at the intersection of Fayetteville Street and Davie Street at approximately 2:30 p.m. Race route cleanup will begin immediately behind the last runner.
