The Saturday Market is continuing to create ties within the community. The food truck this week is Humble Pig. Joining The Saturday Market for the first time this week, they set out to go hog wild with their smoked local bar-b-que.
First of all, they only use locally sourced quality ingredients. Second, Humble Pig slow cooks their pork with natural fruit woods that add a pleasant smokiness- so pleasant, they serve sauce on the side. They are convinced that their pulled pork and sliced beef are so good, you don’t need sauce on it!
Fortunately, they are sauce lovers themselves and and admittedly do encourage sauce. Humble pig recommends following the words of Mr. E.B.White: “I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority.”
Farm 2 Your Table will be serving up fresh bread, biscuits and gravy, North Carolina grown pasta sauce, jellies, fresh mozzarella, pints of banana pudding, chocolate truffles, and chocolate chip cookies this weekend at The Saturday Market!
The LoMo Market now offers seafood, milk, cheese and bread every week at The Saturday Market! Tiny Farm, Pinhole Farms, Liberty Poultry and Part and Parcel will have fresh fruits, veggies, and more. Crumb will be here along with Porch Rockin and Sweets Raleigh.
We had a great turnout for our Food Truck Rodeo with GOUGE Wrestling. Take a look at photo gallery of the event.

What is The Saturday Market?
Rebus Works gallery, located next to the Boylan Street Bridge, downtown Raleigh, began The Saturday Market at Rebus Works in April 2011. The market continues weekly through November. The idea is to combine farmers, crafters, and food and beverage trucks in one location. Although the idea is not new, it is new to Raleigh. The Saturday Market offers a unique setting where vendors are set up along a meandering path, past the chicken coop and gardens, right in the heart of downtown Raleigh.
The Saturday Market is located at 301-2 Kinsey Street, (next to the Boylan Street Bridge) Raleigh, NC and is open every Saturday from 9-1pm and will continue through November 17.
