I took the family downtown to check out SPARKcon and enjoy the nice, cool weather we had last night. I wanted to see what ideaSPARK, fashionSPARK, and circusSPARK had in store for a Friday night.
We caught the tail end of ideaSPARK, and saw the tabletop model of Raleigh. This takes urban planning to a whole new level. It looks like an awesome way to Re-Imagine Raleigh.
We then ventured down Fayetteville Street towards fashionSPARK. Along the way we noticed some artSPARK street drawing and circusSPARK setting up their two-ring circus.
Then Ken Smith from WRAL stopped to interview us on how Downtown Raleigh’s rep is growing.
“It resonates from downtown and brings people in from the neighborhoods surrounding the area,” he [Hibbets] said. “It’s just vibrant and makes you want to be here.”
