The Hillsborough Citizens Advisory Council will hold a special meeting this Wednesday, April 18, at 7:00 PM, in the Pullen Arts Center, to hear a rezoning case and to receive updates on some of the local development projects and proposed projects in our area:
- Hear rezoning case for landowners close to Irregardless. Attorney Robin Currin will explain plans to rezone Garry Hoover’s 0.46 acre and Arthur Gordon’s 0.12 acre from Ind-2 to Ind-2 CUD with a Pedestrian Business Overlay District.
- 425 Boylan project (corner of Boylan and Tucker) – Update from Southern Land Company CEO Tim Downey (developers) and/or his son Dustin. They will be joined by their local representative, Jim Schaafsma.
- Update on NCSU hotel plans and possible rezoning case for Hillsborough Street location across from the Bell Tower. K&L Gates attorney Mack Paul is representing the landowners and is expected to speak for them.
- Briefing on proposed development on Oberlin Road just north of Smallwood between Oberlin and Daniels by landowner and developer Jim Anthony.
The Hillsborough CAC voted last year to meet 6 times per year in odd months except when rezoning cases required special meetings, as in this case. We hope you will join us on April 18th.
