Donation-based yoga
Classes are located in the gallery of Rebus Works. Lead by Trudy Taylor the two classes with descriptions:
9:30-10:30 Level 1-2: In the spirit of sun salutations, find the stamina within while developing grace and flexibility.
11:00-12:00 All Levels: FUN-damentals of yoga with an emphasis on breathing and healthy alignment. We will move though through a series of poses, connecting movement to breath. Warm the body, calm the mind, and open the heart.
Trudi Taylor has practiced yoga for over 25 years. She believes in yoga’s ability to help her enjoy the good things in life and get through the sad days. After struggling for years as a dancer, yoga balanced her strength and flexibility. She doesn’t believe yoga is only for the young and thin but can be fun and helpful for anyone – especially people who describe themselves as “less than fit” and “not bendy”! Come out and greet the morning with her in classes arranged for all fitness levels!

The Saturday Market
Rebus Works gallery, located next to the Boylan Street Bridge, downtown Raleigh, began The Saturday Market at Rebus Works in April. The market continues weekly through November 19, 2011. The idea is to combine farmers, crafters, and food and beverage trucks in one location. Although the idea is not new, it is new to Raleigh. The Saturday Market offers a unique setting where vendors are set up along a meandering path, past the chicken coop and gardens, right in the heart of downtown Raleigh.
The Market has grown weekly, supported by the local neighborhoods and community. The Market features locally grown food and handmade products, with a focus on being kid friendly, and community oriented. The Saturday Market contains a chicken coop and garden area to educate children about sustainability, as well as a kid’s craft area, so parents can shop while their children are artistically stimulated. The Market also provides 2 classes of donation based yoga each week, providing a draw for folks of all ages, with a positive, local neighborhood feel.
The Saturday Market is located at 301-2 Kinsey Street, (next to the Boylan Street Bridge) Raleigh, NC and is open every Saturday from 9-2pm and will continue through November 19.
