The Saturday MarketRebus Works gallery, located in historical Boylan Heights, downtown Raleigh, has started The Saturday Market at Rebus Works.  The idea is to combine farmers, crafters, and food and beverage trucks in one location.  Although the idea is not new, it is new to Raleigh.  The Saturday Market offers a unique setting where vendors are set up along a meandering path, past the chicken coop and gardens, right in the heart of downtown Raleigh.

Being passionate about the idea, the Market has grown weekly, supported by the local neighborhoods and community.  Everything at the Market is locally produced, with a focus on being kid friendly, and community oriented.  To that end, live examples of chickens, gardens and small local farms provide simple lessons to the children about where food comes from, the kid’s craft area provides activities for the children while parents shop, donation based community yoga and chair massage, which brings the community together in a positive way.  The Saturday Market focuses on being community oriented in order to make their own, and everyone else’s surroundings better.

The Saturday Market has had some great turnouts for the first few rounds of market.  This week will feature the Bulkogi Korean BBQ food truck, and the following food and craft vendors:
