The Wine Feed, Glenwood South’s popular wine shop and class venue, is moving on up! Literally, The Wine Feed will be moving from the somewhat hard-to-find spot in the Carter Building UP Glenwood Ave. to a brand new store front on the Glenwood-facing side of the Hampton Inn. The move takes them 5 blocks north of the old location, to 602 Glenwood Avenue, on the corner of Glenwood and West Johnson St., directly across from Cornerstone Tavern.
The move will bring some great new changes, including longer hours, more extensive inventory, and probably most excitingly, a wine bar. The Wine Feed Newsletter informs us that the new goal is to “create a wine oasis in a beer town,” which appeals to me personally, not being a big beer drinker. Founders Phillip Zucchino and Philip Rubin (aka “the Phils”) have spent the past few months researching and finding the best wines to have available for purchase at the bar by the glass (and of course, by the bottle if you choose).
The grand RE-opening of The Wine Feed at its new location will be on Tuesday, December 10th. To celebrate, they are hosting a Sparking Wine class, with 6 varieties of bubbly to try. Get all the details and sign up here.
Keep up with details of the move here, and for even more goodness from The Wine Feed and “the Phillips,” sign up for their newsletter. Learn more about the founders, background, and how The Wine Feed got started in this previous spotlight post.
