RPR_logoThe Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department is developing a new long-range planning document called the System Plan. They want to hear from you. What are your ideas, solutions, and support so Raleigh can continue to be a national leader in parks and recreation?

You can provide feedback at any of four upcoming meetings [PDF]. One of those meeting is right here in the Creative District at Carolina Pines Park on Wednesday, January 16 from 6:30-8:30 pm. You can also provide feedback any time at a website dedicated to the process. Visit www.yourparksyourfuture.com to join in the online conversation.

Capital Improvement Program Manager, Steven Bentley, said “The meetings are intended to give people the opportunity to discuss needs and priorities related programs and facilities. There will be a short presentation from our consulting firm, different discussion opportunities like instant polling, surveys, and smaller group break out stations. These findings will be compiled and distributed later this spring for public comment. The next part of our process will occur later this spring and summer when we move into our discussion about visioning and then in the fall about implementation.”

Parks are central to the way we live, work, learn, and especially play in the Creative District. Help shape the future of our world class parks system by participating in this process.
